EDIT: I accidently posted this earlier than I meant to, sorry if your reply is gone.
Hello again! after the success of last weeks Super Shuffle, I decided I might as well make this a weekly thing, It'll now be on Mondays or Thursdays, whatever day my Brain decides to work.
So yea, same deal as last week, I plan on mixing it up a little bit in other posts, such as game music only and such, but for now, just go to wherever you listen to your music, be it Spotify, iTunes or whatever you hoodlums use. Shuffle your songs and post the first 3-5 no matter what comes up. Feel free to give us a little story behind the song if you can, why you like it and if it has any significance behind it, if not, just post away!
Let's flip this Pancake!
Grand Theft Auto IV: Soviet Connection - London Philharmonic Orchestra:
When GTA IV first came out, I didn't really pay the soundtrack much attention, I even thought most of the songs on the radio were awful. But then I heard this version, and it just blows the original out of the water. It's amazing how the Orchestra managed to turn a kind of RnB track into a full blown symphonic majesty.
Spring Break Anthem - The Lonely Island:
Ughhh, yea, I didn't realise I had this here. It's not their funniest but it's got its own little charm. Moving on!
One More Time - Daft Punk:
One of my favourite songs of all time, it's just such a good song to put you into a happy mood. One of Daft Punks finest. In my opinion, their newest album is awful, but they get away with it from having a massive back catalogue of amazing songs.
High Hopes - Kodaline:
A relatively new band, their first album only came out this year, while it's not perfect, it's a great album. They're from Ireland, so of course they're a great band! It's also one of the few songs I can sing, so the song is already amazing if you haven't listened to it yet. I'm looking forward to what they release in the future. You could say I have 'High Hopes' for them...
Sixteen Saltines - Jack White:
Oh what a cracker to end it on, literally. From his first solo album, Blunderbuss, which is also my favourite album of last year. It's also probably my favourite song last year too. I bought this album not really expecting much because it sounded like it would be very different to The White Stripes. While it was different, it was by no means bad, quite the opposite. I'd say it's better than any of The White Stripes albums.
So that's my random 5 tracks for this week! I hope you enjoyed at least one of them.
I'm in dire need of a new pair of headphones/earphones, I was thinking about these bad boys, but I'm open to suggestions.
