These Are the Games You Should Look Out For This Month

March is a big month, with heavy hitters like Titanfall, MGSV: Ground Zeroes and Infamous: Second Son all coming. There's more than that though, maybe even a bit too much. These are the games you should keep on your radar this month.

Titanfall - March 11 (Xbox One, PC), March 25 (Xbox 360)

Respawn Entertainment's mechs-and-jetpacks shooter is releasing tomorrow. It's the game Xbox One owners will want to pick up, and Kotaku has been covering it plenty. Microsoft even increased the Xbox One controller's sensitivity in response to feedback on this game alone. If that doesn't tell you to keep Titanfall on your radar, I don't know what will.

Dark Souls II - March 11 (Xbox 360, PS3)

Fans of super hard games rejoice, your salvation has arrived. Dark Souls II is going up against Titanfall tomorrow in the battle for your wallets. I haven't played Dark Souls, so I can't say much about it, but you may want to pick up a second controller if it's as hard as they say.

Yoshi's New Island - March 14 (3DS)

The sequel to the SNES classic, Yoshi's New Island is dropping on the 14th. Developed by Azrest and published by (who else) Nintendo, Yoshi's New Island was developed closely with Nintendo and will undoubtedly be a solid addition to any 3DS owner's library. For those new to the 3DS there's also a limited edition bundle including a 3DSXL and a digital copy of the game.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster - March 18 (PS3/Vita)

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is coming to PS3 and Vita on the 18th. You'll be able to play blitzball and dress Yuna and crew up in more fan-servicey outfits than you can shake a stick at. Oh, and it's in HD, so that's certainly nice. This game is worth the price for an HD remake of FFX alone.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes - March 18 (Xbox One, PS4, 360, PS3)

It may be short, but it'll be sweet. Metal Gear Solid V Ground Zeroes, the prologue to sometime-before-this-generation-is-over's Metal Gear Sold V: The Phantom Pain is coming on the 18th as well. Final Fantasy and Metal Gear on the same day. Let's thank Konami and Square Enix that one of these is a prologue and the other is a remake, otherwise we may have a sleep deprivation crisis on our hands.

Infamous: Second Son - March 21 (PS4)

These Are the Games You Should Look Out For This Month

Sony's latest black box gets its first major exclusive this month with inFAMOUS: Second Son. The franchise's good reputation, the beautiful trailers and the drought have helped inFAMOUS develop some serious hype. If Ground Zeroes weren't releasing just three days before, I'd say this might be the only game PS4 owners would need to buy this month.

Blazblue: Chrono Phantasma - March 25 (PS3)

Fighting game fans aren't left out this month, with Blazblue: Chrono Phantasma coming on the 25th. Arc System Works' latest entry in the Blazblue franchise brings three new console exclusive characters, new songs and redrawn sprites for all returning characters. It's a niche title, but an awful lot of fun to play. Though I can't manage to string a combo together to safe my life.

The Witch and the Hundred Knight - March 25 (PS3)

These Are the Games You Should Look Out For This Month

NIS America's The Witch and the Hundred Knight should sate Zelda fans' desire for a new top-down adventure in the tail-end of the month. Richard previewed this one back in September, 2013 and found the game to be fun, yet flawed. Fans of NIS' trademark anime style and comedy should find The Witch and the Hundred Knight to be a must-own.

Shovel Knight (Wii U, 3DS, PC) - March 31

Shovel Knight is coming in to end the month strong, courtesy of Yacht Club Games. With a strong 8-bit feel, Shovel Knight will hit lovers of Link's Adventure right in the nostalgia center of their brains. Not a lot of fuss has been made about this one, but it certainly looks like it'll be worth the wait.
