TAY! Weekend!!! Whatcha Playing?

Pain In The Neck

Literally a pain in the neck. I'll have to make this brief as sitting and typing is painful as is most of my waking existence at the moment. I've got a date with some awesome painkillers and bed.

I spent all week doing projects around the house (outside in that nasty sun...we hates it) since my kid was at a day-camp this week. Thursday I was installing a new security light and slipped a little on the ladder. I didn't fall but wrenched my neck.

At the time it didn't hurt, other than the initial twist, and I played my weekly game night of The Elder Scrolls Online for a whopping 8 hours. In the wee hours of the morning when we finally packed it in, I suddenly and very painfully realized I could hardly move my neck at all. Sleeping was an excruciatingly painful experience and Friday I went on a quest for some relief (pills). Thankfully I have a small amount of motion now but I'm not looking forward to bedtime. Hopefully the painkillers I have will keep me knocked out long enough to get some sleep.

TAY! Weekend!!! Whatcha Playing?

We had a great and extremely productive session of The Elder Scrolls Online the other night. My buddy and I finished the Alik'r Desert and have arrived in Bangkorai which is where we can hopefully get infected with Vampirism. It sounds like it is still a bit of a hit and miss exercise to get infected, but I'm determined to become a vampire without paying another player for a bite.

Just FYI for anyone still interested in The Elder Scrolls Online. It is now available on Steam and the client is currently on sale for $29.99.

Other than ESO, my week was essentially gameless. We did pick up Mario Kart 8 on the eShop and chose the free Windwaker HD as our bonus game for the promotion Nintendo is running. I also grabbed NES Remix for my Platinum gift from Club Nintendo yesterday. So there is loads of Nintendo goodness in my future. What is the consensus on the motion controls vs the standard controls in Mario Kart 8? I'm leaning towards the traditional controls, but I watched my son kick ass with the tilt controls a couple days ago.

I'm hoping I'll be able to get back to Blood Dragon this weekend, I really missed playing it this week. I'll have to see how it goes as my couch in my game cave isn't very friendly for my neck.

So, what are you playing this weekend?
