TAY: Open Forum - Laying Down the Smack Edition

Remember how easy going things were last year, some of you? Around this time last June, TAY was about to enter the New Leaf Summer craze. I met UI for the first time back then at the Animal Crossing launch event and we've been good friends ever since! I became enamoured by Pietro, the nightmare ram. A Chero turned up claiming he was not a Chero. Maybe it was Sir Dannicus? I also made lots of other good friends - for example, Nach showed up in my town uninvited one day and soon we spent lots of evenings sitting on the bench over looking the ocean in Tennant. I don't even remember what we talked about but I remember the dance off! And of course, I cannot forget that I no longer feared being Goomba stomped by an Overlord as we too became frays.

Those were simple, quiet times...

...only interrupted late at night when I would hear/read "SHARK! SHARK! :3 " from a certain TAY friend.

Hmm, come to think of it... those weren't always peaceful times. There was a shark hunting competition on my beach and I probably should have seen the signs from back then. I just didn't realize it until last night, as TAY entered into the new Summer craze: Mario Kart 8 and Competitive Racing.

With all this racing, there's been lots of smack talking as well. From the same shark hunting maniac of summer gone.

...

Hrrmm. Suddenly it's all become clear!

So TAY, as some of you saw from the MK8 Fest last night: I lost. I knew I wouldn't win but I held it down ...near the back and for me, that's okay. I just enjoyed racing with all my TAY peeps, and I'm sure new friends will be made through all these races this summer.

But for the rest of you who enjoy the smack talk and competition, for today's suggested topics:

What was your greatest competitive gaming win or memory?

What's the best smack talking you've heard or given?!

Tell us!

As always, feel free to Talk Amongst Yourselves if ain't nobody got time for a smack talking! It is the Open Forum, after all. Don't forget that the IRC Channel is always around for you to carry out discussions as well. If you wanted to give an admin, author, and/or friend a shout: You can find them on the DirecTAYry.
