The other day my husband and I started talking about anime and what some of the best and worst ones were in our opinions. Hands down, the worst for us was Samurai Deeper Kyo. I love the manga of Kyo. I love it so much it's the only manga (besides Battle Royale) that I've read multiple times. It's probably my #1 manga.
Only they completely ruined all the good parts with the anime. Basically Samurai Deeper Kyo is about samurai fighting one another. Some of the characters are based off real life samurai, so you even get history lessons from it. Of course, it veers off from the real into the supernatural, but it's amazing.
In the anime, all those fighters have transformations and turn into monsters, and it takes the humanity element out of it. Also, it was a cheaply made anime and it shows. It's just horrible.
See that guy in the mask? He only exists in the show and game. And he's just around to speed things up since the anime quit before the manga was over. It's probably better that way.
So what's the worst manga to anime (or vice verse) in your opinion? Or just worst anime over all?
If you don't want to talk about this, feel free to talk about anything!
And Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all have good weekends!
