Hello everyone, and welcome to the Open Forum, which is hosted by Kotaku's reader-run blog, TAY. This is a place to talk about life, video games, or anything else, so feel free to hop in and join in the topic discussion, or comment about anything. Then, when you're done, feel free to peruse the articles on TAY and TAYClassic. Is this your first time on TAY or the Open Forum? Then check out this handy TAYTorial! There's also the TAY IRC Chatroom where TAY never sleeps.
Hey TAY! How you doin?? *wink wink* Speaking of winks that handsome fellow in his PJ's is Emmet Brickowski star of The LEGO Movie which I had the privilege of viewing not once but twice over the weekend. Yes, it really is that good especially if you're like me and grew up with LEGO sets. It was like being a kid again. The creativity and ingenuity of the animation was a true spectacle. A great blend of stop motion and CG. Its like the peanut butter and chocolate of animated movies or lamb and tuna fish if that's your thing.
While it gave me flashbacks of childhood it also gave me hope for my own future. As some of you may know I've been tending to my parents house for the last two weeks. It's been challenging but rewarding as cliche as that sounds. It is rewarding in the sense that I have gained a great respect to all those who have to maintain their abodes on a daily basis. Its no easy feat especially when you have uncooperative siblings...
At any rate, I shall cease to bore you with my personal tales of win and woe. Instead how about we talk about experiences that have created a better understanding of a certain subject after prolonged exposure. Were you a better person for it? Did it change you 5ever? Why do I have overly serious prompts?
