Good morning everyone and welcome to another week of TAY. Let's talk about time periods! I started watching Baccano! last night and while I often don't like shows with enormous ensemble casts, the setting won me over. I love fiction set in the time frame of the 19th century up to pre-WWII. A lot of my favorite books - The Age of Innocence, Brideshead Revisited, etc - take place in this era. I love the high society stuff. I love that people were into seances and weird spiritualist stuff. I love the clothes. This time period is also pretty interesting for Japanese history. It's pretty great to see depression era New York in Baccano! because it's not a very popular setting for anime or fiction in general these days.

What's your favorite era for fiction? Talk about that or anything else below!
