TAY Open Forum: Serving up a Tall (pre-) Order of Nightmares

It just so happened that the day Nintendo World decided to start taking pre-orders for the Limited Collector's Edition of Mario Kart 8, was the day Swan was not going to be able to make a trip to Nintendo World to secure copies. Of course, as I expected, they sold out in two days and now the Launch Event is going to be a fight to get my hands on those things.

I'm used to the fight, so I'm going to try.

But I also know how crazy the Nintendo Fans in NY get. Long lines, sleeping on the streets days prior...

...

...hopefully luck will shine upon me.

Let me tell you about the time I made the greatest pre-order purchase of my life: the Wii. I don't know what possessed me to put down a pre-order but I am so happy that I did. The day I went to collect it, I received daggers and stares because it was sold out and the Wii shortage continued for months after that. It was glorious.

Since that day, I learned a valuable lesson about putting pre-orders down because I never wanted to be that sad person if I could help it.

This time I could not. I'm totally expecting to be bombarded by blue shells from a certain Overlord as payback. A like so.
