The Graveyard Shift - Sentimental EditionS

Huh?! What's that? Oh, it's just you, a fellow TAYer. Don't scare me like that. Well, the world is ending and you can't sleep? That's okay, I, UI 2.0 will be here to host the Graveyard Shift temporary for tonight. So, let's spend these moments before the the impending "Thursday Open Forum of Earthly Destruction" to have a cup of tea and chat.

You're awfully quiet tonight? I'll start. Let's talk about an object that holds the most sentimental value to you, a memento if you will.

It's easy to lose ourselves in materialistic goods and luxury items especially in a first world country. But there are many items we can certainly do without and probably wouldn't miss it if it suddenly disappear and never to return again. However, there are certain objects, no matter how meaningless it is to everyone else, it holds a special memory or the embodiment of a certain happiness and hard to picture ourselves without it.

Now Woody, he's been my pal for as long as I can remember. He's brave, like a cowboy should be. And kind, and smart. But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

As for Andy over there, his memento is Woody. What's mine?

I certainly don't have any particular family heirloom or anything special like that. I have some WWII photos of my grandpa but I never knew him. But if there is one item that holds the most sentimental value to me, it's a blue baby blanket. For most of my childhood, I had that blanket and would use it for many things in those crazy imagination and childhood times bored at home spent with my younger brother. Of course, nothing last forever and that blanket got really worn out. It's probably gone now but I'll have to ask my mom and see if she threw it out.

Since that's probably gone, I'll settle for my High School Yearbook. Full of stupid memories for better or worse.

Of course, you won't have much time to think about it. The last space vessel off Earth is leaving tomorrow morning at 10am EDT. And the rule will only allow one memento per person. What's your memento?
